St Johnstone booked their ticket to the Europa League this summer with a win against Partick Thistle.

With two games remaining of the Scottish Premiershi­p season, fifth-placed Hearts, who visit Perth on Wednesday, cannot make up the ground.

Saints’ visit to the continent next month will be the fifth time in six years that they have qualified for the competitio­n.

There will be little rest for the Perth squad when the season ends this weekend but few grumbles will be heard coming from the McDiarmid dressing room.
