President Irene Smith welcomed all to the AGM. After business we had a 20p auction and a lovely supper.

Rhynd

Mrs Norah Winyard presided over the May meeting which was the AGM. After the minutes of previous AGM were read and approved, the Secretary gave a brief resume of the year’s events which was followed by the treasurer’s report.

Mrs N Winyard thanked the committee for all their hard work during the year. The Points Cup 1 Mrs Frances Todd, 2 Mrs Hilary McGregor. Comps Empire Biscuits 1 Mrs I Watson 2 Mrs F Todd. Decorated Bottle 1 Mrs A Castle, 2 Mrs F Todd. Flower of the Month: Mrs M Ballantine. Mrs N Winyard then introduced the Ladies from Forteviot WI who entertaine­d us with songs and poems which we all enjoyed it was followed by very nice supper. Mrs N Winyard gave vote of thanks.

Butterston­e

Another year comes to an end with our AGM held at Rowanbank, as the Hall is still not ready for use. Marie Abbott made us very welcome and provided a tasty supper.

Marilyn, our Secretary, gave a full report on our meetings and activities. Fiona, president, thanked Marilyn for her work throughout the session and also Marie for her work as Treasurer.

Voting for office bearers for 2017/18 resulted -President – Sheila Bruges; Vice President – Jane Gordon; Secretary – Marilyn Hale; Treasurer – Marie Abbott.

The Trophy for most points in the monthly competitio­ns went to Marilyn Hale with Sheila Bruges 2nd and Fiona

Kinglands

Margaret Cummings presided over the AGM. Muriel Graham came along as a visitor and judged the competitio­ns. Beannie Hat with decoration - 1 Linda Thomson, 2 Margaret Cummings, 3 Janet Chalmers. Flower of the month - 1 Linda Thomson, 2 Janet Chalmers, 3 Margaret Cummings. The points cup for the year was won by Margaret Cummings. The runner up salver was won by Susan McGhie Both prizes were presented by Muriel Graham. There is no change to the elected committee.

Luncarty

Presideny Jean Siddle welcomed WRI Ladies from Cluny WRI to our AGM along with all members. Business commenced after the Rural Song was sung.

A lovely supper was provided by the committee with fun quiz organised by Bell McNaughton. A good AGM with a little fun was thoroughly enjoyed by all. New President is Mrs Jean McIntosh. Grateful thanks to our guests for their help. Competitio­n: Hand knitted tea cosy - Susie Davidson; Jubilee Cup 1 Bell McNaughton, 2 Susie Davidson; Mhari Wylie Quaich - Susie Davidson.
