Final shift for nurse Fiona
Colleagues and friends of Staff Nurse Fiona Edwards said goodbye at the Royal George Hotel A long-serving nurse who spent 23 years assisting patients on a single ward at Perth Royal Infirmary has retired.
Staff nurse Fiona Edwards spent a total of 40 years working with the NHS. Fiona celebrated with a retirement tea at Perth’s Royal George Hotel, where she was presented with gifts and flowers from current and former colleagues.
Fiona has been working as a staff nurse in PRI’s Tay Ward in medicine for the elderly for the past 23 years, working on rehabilitating patients over the age of 65.
Fiona said:“The ward is very special to me and I will miss all of my colleagues. Tay is a great ward, everyone works well together as a team to give the best patient care and the staff always do their best to give relatives the support and information they need.”
