Carefirm’s 15newjobs

-

A care firm is to create 15 new jobs in Perth and Kinross.

Mears Care, which is based in Gloucestershire, has moved to add roles in Crieff, Kinross, Bridge of Earn and Glenfarg following a contract deal with Perth and Kinross Council.

PKC and Mears Care are working together to deliver care at home, which is an expanding area.

Linda Adams, manager at Mears Care for Perth and Kinross, said: “We give full training for anyone coming in to this area of work with no experience of thecare sector. We offer flexible working, and full and part time contracts, and weekend work.

“Some of our team members have come into care at home from a job in manufacturing or retail. Some have cared for members of their own families or friends or neighbours. It’s been an experience which has made them realise what a rewarding job this is and we are offering above minimum wages.”
