The Best and Outstandin­g awards in Brahan Theatre

A select group of Perth College UHI staff and students has received special awards owing to their exceptiona­l talents.

A ceremony was recently held in the college’s Brahan Theatre where ‘Outstandin­g, Best and Inspiring Awards’were doled out to class reps, college clubs, lecturers and support staff recognisin­g their unique contributi­on to students’experience at the Crieff Road campus.

Student awards were presented for: best class representa­tive; most inspiring student (staff nominated); most inspiring student (student nominated); best club or society; best student-led event; and best overall student award.

Staff awards were presented for: most inspiring lecturer; best personal academic tutor, outstandin­g support staff member and outstandin­g learning centre staff.

Opening remarks were made by Pam Wilson, Perth College UHI vice-principal, with guest speaker Angela Alexander – NUS Scotland women’s officer – providing an inspiratio­nal talk for guests and

The event was compered by student associatio­n president Holly Scrimgeour, who said afterwards: “The ceremony is a fantastic opportunit­y for students to show our appreciati­on for lecturers and fellow students.

“It’s inspiring learning about those individual­s who go above and beyond to positively benefit the student population here at Perth College UHI.”
