Auchterarder SWI

The meeting was opened by Diane Holme, President, who welcomed members and the judges for the evening Yolande and Cecelia. The minutes of last years AGM will be presented for members at the meeting in September.

Diane gave a resume of the years’ programme and activities. It has been another successful year. Diane used slides to illustrate and also to thank committee etc for their hard work.

Marjorie, Treasurer gave her report and details of finances. The subs will have to rise for 2017/18 due to rising costs. Noreen, Secretary, gave us information on forthcoming events this summer and gave her report.

Diane then opened the meeting. Minutes of the April meeting were proposed and seconded, Noreen read out the correspondence. Members then enjoyed a delicious Fish Supper arranged by Catherine McGraw.

Competitions: handmade glove puppet, 1 Jennifer Clarke, 2 Sheila Perera. Suggestions for syllabus and competitions, 1 Mary McGraw, 2. Noreen Homewood. Flower of the month, Sheila Perera. Heat for the “Jar of Marmalade” to go forward to Federation Competition Noreen Homewood. The 2016/17 Points Trophy was won by Mary McGraw. Diane then wished us all a good summer and the meeting was closed.

Audrey Michie presided at our AGM. Reports were read and approved and the committee for the next session agreed. Unusually three members tied with the same number of points in our competitions Audrey Michie Louise Duncan and Lorraine Macnamara.
