Fun day out in Balbeggie

- Rachel Clark

Fundraisers in Balbeggie are getting ready to host their charity fun day.

Advanced Specialist Care (ASC), who care for people in Balbeggie and the surrounding area who have learning disabilities and provide palliative and respite care, will be hosting the event at Dalguise Centre care home on Saturday, July 30 from 10am4pm.

The day promises to include fun for all the family, including a number of stalls, a bouncy castle, a disco dome, face-painting, and beat-thegoalie, along with a whole host of other activities throughout the day to enjoy.

There will also be a football tournament, and some of the staff members at ASC will be getting their heads shaved on stage for charity.

There will also be a festival tent, with musicians and dancers from across the UK performing on stage.

Yvonne Kirk, the activities supervisor at ASC, said: “This fun day is open to the public to come and enjoy a fun day out.

“Here at ASC we care for service users who have a number of different learning disabilities and the day allows for not only service users, friends and family to join a day of fun activities, but also for the community to come and see what we have to offer.”

Entry is free, and all the money raised during the day will be split between ASC’s activities, Alzheimer’s Scotland, and Cancer Research UK.
