Name change but same expertise

A well-known Perth dental practice is in the process of changing its name after nearly 20 years of giving everyone great smiles.

Roberts & Travers in Burghmuir Road has been a partnership between Morag Roberts and Aileen Travers since 1998.

Seven years ago the business moved from the city centre to its handy spot between Letham and Oakbank.

Very soon clients will start to call it Oakbank Dental Care, reflecting the fact that the practice has grown beyond founders Morag and Aileen.

“We don’t want anyone to think we are going anywhere,” laughed Morag. “We have renamed our practice Oakbank Dental Care, as we have now have four dentists at the practice, including Ailsa McBride who has worked with us for the last six years and Kaylea Thain who joined us last year.

“These days we have two hygienists - Kaye Brown and Beverley Thomson - working here too, so Roberts & Travers doesn’t cover all that we do any more!”

Oakbank Dental Care offers a mix of NHS and private services.

“We welcome all types of patients, we do a lot more than people think,” Aileen explained.

“Many assume that by joining us as an NHS client would mean needing to go somewhere else for implants or cosmetic procedures – like getting white fillings – but we can do it all here. We give you the choice.”

She explained that the team are also skilled with making anxious patients feel comfortable.

Then there’s the benefit of offstreet car parking, a disabled bay and the dental practice being fully accessible for wheelchair access.

“Watch out for our increased social media presence too,” said Morag.

“We are running a share-ourpage Facebook competition in association with Craigie Hill Golf Course.

“The top prize is going to be a ‘four ball’, a round of golf for four people. We’re also going to offer £50 Amazon vouchers.”
