Ambassadors behind success

-

It’s all hands to the pump as Perth Show 2017 draws ever closer.

And among those popping in to the show headquarters to see what they can do to help are president David Armstrong and patron John MacGregor.

David, who has been president of Perth Show since 2010, says the event is “in his blood” and happily acts as an ambassador all year round for the annual agricultural showcase.

“I know the extremely hard work on the part of many people that goes in to making each show a success,” he said.

“It’s a wonderful event – two

“It’s an immense effort to plan and deliver such a great event and I’m happy to help wherever I can.”

John has been patron of Perth Show for four years – a position he holds with great pride.

“What an honour, as a farmer, to be asked to be patron of Perth Show – an event I’ve attended most of my life,” he said. “A farmer’s life remains difficult and challenging and it’s good for the public to see all that goes in to putting food on their tables when they witness the finest from the agricultural scene at Perth Show.” Perthshire Agricultural Society’s new chairman Peter Stewart, left, with his senior team for 2017.
