Music Expo returns with biggest line-up

The Perth Music Expo is set to return for its fourth year next month.

The event, which will be taking place across three venues, will be held on Thursday, September 7 with its biggest ever line-up.

There will be free live music at The Twa Tams and The Green Room from 8pm, with a panel of guests from the music industry at Perth Playhouse from 6pm.

Local stars such as Pinact,Womps, Stillhound, St Martins, Real Life Entertainm­ent, Rebel Westerns, EMILIE, Skjør, Flat Six and Start Static will all be playing.

Held in conjunctio­n with Perth 2021, Perth College UHI, Fair City firm Vadana Records and the Scottish Alternativ­e Music Awards, Expo organiser Andrew Dyce is delighted with how preparatio­ns are going.

He said:“This is probably our biggest event yet. We’ve got more venues, a really good line-up and a great panel as well. We’ve got some local acts, Perth bands who have moved to Glasgow and some other The Green Room is one of a trio of Perth venues preparing for the Perth Music Expo

Scottish bands, so it’s a good mix.”

The Expo has grown from a student project to an annual event.

“My colleague Craig and I both work at Perth College UHI and started

running the Expo for students to get some experience.

“It’s grown and grown, and this year we’re hoping to fill all of the venues and get around 500 people at the event.”
