Orchestra’s Fringe outing in Edinburgh
The Perth Youth Orchestra concert during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Talented musicians from Perth Youth Orchestra performed last week at Greyfriars Kirk as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The capital concert on Thursday was followed by a Perth Concert Hall performance on Monday this week and were the final outings in the orchestra’s summer series of concerts.
They were also the last time many of the senior players will perform with PYO.
The performances included solo concerto pieces by Kinross High School’s Erin Bathgate on French horn and Perth High’s Emma Ritchie on cello, as well as a number of symphonic suites and musical arrangements.
Auditions for new members to join Perth Youth Orchestra will begin next month.
