Funds dished up for Giraffe

- Melanie Bonn

The combined cooking power of three of Perth’s best chefs gave Giraffe Trading a £1000 boost last weekend.

Graeme Pallister of 63 Tay Street and Wesley Watts, top dog at The Post Box, shared kitchen space with Andrew Moss at his restaurant The North Port, to turn out a truly one-off tasting evening for £45-a head paying customers on Sunday.

The cook trio gave up their time and sourced some fantastic local produce.

As part of September’s programme of Great Perthshire Picnic events, the result - the Great Perthshire Fundraising Dinner - helped to raise over a grand for Giraffe, which helps train and develop people with barriers.

Andrew Moss hosted the event at his city centre eaterie, The North Port.

“It was a real pleasure to be able to support a great local cause like Giraffe,” said Andrew.

“I had a good time with the other chefs and enjoyed working with them. Thanks to all the diners who joined us on this special night”.

Gareth Ruddock, Giraffe CEO, said: “On behalf of Giraffe I’d like to personally thank Graeme, Wes and Andrew for putting together this wonderful event.

“It was a wonderful night full of tasty food and many laughs – the chefs and their teams are a real credit to Perth.”
