Stolecash from primary

A Perthshire woman who embezzled hundreds of pounds from Burrelton Primary School while head of its parent council will discover her fate on September 27.

Laura Margaret Frost, of Church Road, Woodside, pocketed the cash between December 6, 2014, and April 20, 2015.

The charge indicated that she was ‘in a position of trust’ at the time - chairperson of the parent council.

She had originally denied the charge and was to have faced trial at Perth Sheriff Court.

But she changed her plea to guilty and will be sentenced after a background report has been prepared.

The background to the breach of trust will be given later this month.
