Kinross hotel gig will be far from Dire
A Dire Straits founder is performing with his new band in Kinross-shire next month.
John Illsley and Band are performing their Long Shadows tour at Backstage at The Green Hotel in Kinross on Friday, October 27.
The band is stopping off in Kinross between gigs in Dundee and Glasgow, and the multiGrammy, Brit and MTV Music award-winner and co are sure to delight.
Dire Straits sold more than 120 million albums before splitting in 1995, and bassist Illsley has since released six solo albums.
His new band is also said to be of a high calibre, with members who have worked alongside Oasis, Paul McCartney and Robert Plant.
