A chance to show our appreciation Thanks due to fundraiser

-

Dear Editor For over four years now, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) has been saving and improving lives in every part of the country – thanks to YOU.

In that time, we have responded to more than 1500 emergency call outs, upgraded our aircraft and extended our working hours.

The Scottish public’s continued generosity has ensured that this frontline emergency resource is fully funded and available to fly expert paramedic care to those suffering serious illness or injury every day of the year.

Covering the whole of Scotland and our many islands, SCAA also ensures comfortable and speedy transfer to hospital for those most in need.

Over £2 million is required annually to keep this vital lifesaving charity in the air as we work along side Governmentfunded air ambulance resources to provide an enhanced emergency air response for the people of Scotland.

In this, National Air Ambulance Week and Remember A Charity Week (Sep 11 – 17), SCAA is asking the public to help us ensure we are there for our family, our friends, our colleagues and our communities in the future.

So we’re appealing to readers to consider remembering SCAA in their will.

Your consideration and kindness today, your gift in the future and your support for those in desperate need in the years to come will make a real difference.

A £100 legacy will fund the fuel to keep SCAA flying for an hour for example, while £2,000 will effectively fund a life-saving mission.

The people of Scotland have never let SCAA down – your passing needn’t be a barrier to continuing that vital support.

Please visit www.scaa.org. uk/legacies to learn how you can help fly us into the future.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone for supporting the people’s helicopter.

David Craig, Chief Executive, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance I would like to advise you of the continuing fundraising efforts of a staff member of the Co-op shop in Tulloch Square, Perth, by the name of Sarah.

She raises money for various charities and is an all-round public minded person. I recall a couple of years ago, your paper covered a story regarding a raffle of a huge Polar Bear toy in the Scone Co-op, and I am led to believe Sarah arranged this event.

I understand that a similar toy bear is on display in the above shop at present, in Tulloch Square. I feel that Sarah’s efforts should be recognised. Pete M
