McDiarmid to host international action

St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park will host two back-to-back Scotland under-21 international fixtures in November.

The Perth stadium will see Latvia and Ukraine visit as the Scots continue their UEFA European Championship qualification campaign.

Scot Gemmill’s men triumphed over the Netherlands at the Paisley 2021 Stadium earlier this month in their opening group match, winning 2-0 with goals from West Bromwich Albion’s new signing Oliver Burke, and Barnsley midfielder Stephen Mallan.

They face away trips to England and Latvia next month in their next set of fixtures before action takes place in the Fair City.

The kick-off times and ticket information for the November double-header will be announced soon.

Saints centre-back Jason Kerr, on loan at Queen of the South, earned himself a first call up to the under-21 squad earlier this year.
