Ju­nior cham­pion Rhys Barr, gents cham­pion Matthew Munro, ladies cham­pion Vicki Stronach and lord para­mount for the day Gra­ham Fer­gu­son of Perth Doo’cot Cricket Club Perth Archery Club’s Out­door Club Cham­pi­onships, held at Gan­nochy, were fiercely con­tested.

For­mer ju­nior cham­pion Matthew Munro was vic­to­ri­ous in the se­nior com­pe­ti­tion, be­com­ing the first archer to have held both ti­tles.

Se­nior sil­ver went home with Ian Hey­wood while de­fend­ing cham­pion Paul Jack­son was forced to set­tle for third.

Iain Stirling se­cured gold in the Bare­bow cat­e­gory and Ross Car­ruthers won the Gan­nochy Quaich by sub­mit­ting the best hand­i­cap score. Cameron Ban­nochie was the top fin­ish­ing novice.

In the se­nior ladies event, Vicki Stronach

The out­door archery sea­son ended in em­phatic style be­came cham­pion af­ter she man­aged to fin­ish ahead of Caro­line War­ing.

The ju­nior com­pe­ti­tion wit­nessed Rhys Barr shoot to vic­tory with Ni­amh Rus­sell fin­ish­ing sec­ond and Katie Brown tak­ing the bronze medal, as well as win­ning the ju­nior hand­i­cap award.

A to­tal of 27 archers took part and awards were pre­sented by lord para­mount for the day, Gra­ham Fer­gu­son of Perth Doo’cot Cricket Club and Len Yull of­fi­ci­ated as judge.

The com­pe­ti­tion con­cluded the out­door shoot­ing sea­son, with in­doors now recom­menc­ing at Perth High School Com­mu­nity Hub on Fri­days and Sun­days.
