Pensioner (63) thought she’d killed man after drink binge

Elizabeth Felix leaves the court after her case A Perth pensioner attacked the new love in her life with such venom that she called police and said: “I think I’ve killed my partner.”

Fortunatel­y, 62-year-old William Dickson escaped with a bump to his head and cuts and bruises to his face following the drink-fuelled attack at his home in Auchterard­er.

Sixty-three-year-old Elizabeth Felix, of Methven Buildings, New Row, had her sentence deferred for four months after she admitted striking him repeatedly on the head during an incident which occurred at Queen’s Terrace, Auchterard­er, on July 23 this year.

Perth Sheriff Court was told they had been in a relationsh­ip for eight weeks.

She arrived at his home in the early afternoon and they both started drinking.

About 9pm, however, an argument blew up because she felt he hadn’t been paying her enough attention.

He said he was going to bed but she followed him, straddled his body and repeatedly struck him. She then made the 999 call to police. Solicitor Paul Ralph said she had spent the night in the police cells and that hadn’t been a pleasant experience for her.

She has no previous conviction­s and the relationsh­ip was now over.

Sheriff Derek Reekie ordered the accused to be of good behaviour meantime and she will return to court for sentence on January 24.
