St Madoes and Kinfauns Parish Church Morning worship on Sunday will be take place at 10.30am in the Madoch Centre. Snack group meets in the centre on Tuesdays from 1.30pm. The Wednesday Bible study group meets at 11am in the old church. All are welcome. Café Connect is open at the Madoch Centre Mondays to Fridays, 10am to 2.30pm, and the centre is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Bridge Results this week were: north/south - A Hunter/G Reid 65.5%, J Rough/J Crichton 63%, and A MacDonald/N Bremner 44%. East/ west - J Mitchell/P Upperton Jnr 64%, B Pow/R Chalmers 54.2%, B and M Watson 49.5%. Scone Bridge Club meets at 6.30pm every Thursday in the RDM Institute and new members are always welcome. For more details, contact the club on 01738 551864. Historical Society Scone and District Historical Society will host a coffee morning in Scone Old Church Hall from 10am-noon on Saturday. Entry is £2 for adults and 50p for children. All welcome. The programme for the forthcomin­g session will be available. The first meeting will be on Monday, October 9, at 7.30pm in Scone Old Church Hall. The speaker will be John Blackie on the ‘History of Scottish Gardens’. All welcome.

Seniors Club The club will meet in the RDM Institute next Wednesday, October 11 at 2.30pm. Members look forward to meeting entertaine­r Mike McEwan and all are welcome. Tickets, priced £2, will be available for the afternoon tea meeting later in the month.
