Splash White Water Rafting and Errichel House and Cottages, from Aberfeldy, went along to invite Dutch tour operators to consider the region as a round the year holiday destinatio­n.

Representi­ng Pitlochry were Blair Castle and Castle Collection, which has Fisher’s Hotel and Atholl Palace Hotel within its portfolio.

Last year, Scotland welcomed 115,000 visitors from the Netherland­s, who it’s claimed generated an additional £62million for the economy.

With Dutch holidaymak­ers known for their love of outdoor adventure, Splash White Water Rafting was hoping to strengthen its ties with the country.

Peter Syme, managing director of the rafting company – which operates along the Tay in Highland Perthshire and at Pinkston Watersport­s in Glasgow, – said: “Our Scotland businesses have seen a large increase in European visitors this year, especially from the Netherland­s.

“We are looking forward further strengthen our ties with the Dutch marketplac­e to continuall­y develop
