Neat move for Grouse
The Famous Grouse staff may be in need of a dram after moving their world record-holding bottle.
Standing a whopping five feet five inches tall and holding 200 litres, or 8000 nips, the world’s largest bottle of whisky has called the Tasting Lounge at The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery in Crieff home, since it was officially certified there by the Guinness Book of Records in 2012.
The record-breaking bottle has now been moved to the more accessibleWelcome Lounge, after an joint effort by four stillmen.
Mandy Ingram, Visitor Experience manager at the Famous Grouse Experience, said:“TheWorld’s Largest Bottle has been in our Tasting Lounge for the past five years so we decided to shake things up a bit by moving it to the Welcome Lounge.
