Twilight world of Paris Golden Age

-

On October 16 in Kinross, Glasgow chanteuse Christine Bovill will sing her interpretation of Edith Piaf and more French greats.

Christine Bovill’s‘Paris’ made her the winner of “Spirit Of The Fringe”and the show was a sell-out this summer.

And so, for the Glenfarg Folk Club’s weekly meet at Backstage in the Green Hotel in Kinross, Christine will beckon the audience back to the Golden Age of French song; a demi-monde of heroes and outcasts, cynics and bruised romantics.

The show casts a sepiatinged spotlight on the songs and stories of Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Barbara, Juliet Greco, Charles Aznavour and more characters from the twilight world of Parisian song.

Glenfarg Village Folk Club members £8; non-members £10; hotel guests £9.

Anyone wanting to pay on the door on the night should come at 7.30pm, (show starts at 8pm) in good time to pay for tickets.
