Seven call outs in the past week have seen Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) tasked to emergencies as far afield as Aberfeldy, Ayrshire, Mull and Rothesay.

The helicopter air ambulance flew to the aid of a motorcyclist seriously injured in an accident on a rural road near Blairgowrie.

SCAA paramedics worked with Scottish Ambulance Service colleagues and the Tayside Trauma Team before the patient was taken to hospital by land ambulance alongside TTT.

The crew also took to the air for an urgent transfer of a seriously ill patient from Rothesay to mainland care at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital at Glasgow.

Members and friends of the British Association of Ski Patrollers dined and danced the night away at Perth Racecourse recently and raised £6,000 for SCAA.
