Highland Perthshire Debt Centre successfully made it to the voting stage of the Aviva Community Fund to hopefully gain £2000 of development funding.

Having been accepted, the final round of the process requires Christians Against Poverty to gather as many public votes as possible.

“This is such a worthwhile cause to support in these times of austerity measures and welfare changes, when people are struggling more and more with debt issues and all the associated problems of loneliness, isolation and depression,”said Katie Allstaff from CAP in Aberfeldy.

“We have approximately three weeks left for voting, but this is one of those things, if you don’t do it soon, it will completely fade from your thinking.

We’d really like to capture this funding for £2000, as we’re coming to the end of our three year’s major funding from the Church of Scotland and the next phase of funding is less secure at the moment.

“If you can spare the time to vote for us, then thank you so very much from the office in Aberfeldy.”

Everyone registering has 10 votes to use up.
