Choral concert in glorious setting
Perth composer Helen MacKinnon, seated, will present an evening of Sacred Music in All Saints Church New choral music by Perth composer Helen MacKinnon will fill All Saints Church in Glencarse on Friday.
With accompanist Gordon Murch, Helen’s latest work is being showcased by a choir of 21 singers from across Perthshire in one of the areas most beautiful churches.
The concert on November 3 features the Scottish premiere of Helen’s award-winning work Gloria in Excelsis Deo, plus other contemporary choral music, a bit of Latin and some a cappella fun.
Before the concert, at 7.30pm, audiences can view an exhibition of arts and crafts in the church, with the music beginning at 8pm.
Ninety were up for grabs, with all funds raised supporting local charity PKAVS and All Saints Church.
