Perthshire’s Team Muirhead continued their Olympic preparation by making it to the semi-final of the Masters of Curling in Lloydminster, Alberta.
Fronted by Blair Atholl skip Eve Muirhead, the quartet’s Canadian campaign came to an end after a 6-3 loss to home rink Team Einarson.
Eve said: “We had a good run here in Lloydminster in the Grand Slam, qualifying for the play-offs with a 3-1 record.
“We came up against a strong Team Paetz in the quarter-final who we edged 5-4, then moving on to the semi-final where we lost a close battle to Team Einarson.
“The crowds have been great and to have such an atmosphere when playing is really something special.
“Canada really does know how to put on curling events.”
Fellow Team GB representatives Team Smith were also in action at Lloydminster but were eliminated in the round robin stages.
They will join Muirhead and Co at the European Championships in St Gallen, Switzerland next month.
