Ceilidh’s reel fab fundraiser

Cham­pion High­land dancer Gillian Urquhart – founder of dance fit­ness com­pany High­land Hus­tle – is hold­ing a fundrais­ing ceilidh this Satur­day in Mur­rayshall House Ho­tel, near Scone, to launch her new foun­da­tion, Hus­tle Helps.

TV favourite Lor­raine, who has taken part in a High­land Hus­tle event be­fore, said: “It was good to meet Gillian - she does such a bril­liant job. I would have loved to have come to the fundraiser but I have to be in Lon­don. “I wish her all the best for this.” Perthshire North MSP Mr Swin­ney said: “Gillian has done an ex­cel­lent job with High­land Hus­tle and ‘High­land Tots’, and I am de­lighted that her or­gan­i­sa­tion has grown from strength to strength

“I am sure that her fundrais­ing ceilidh on for Hus­tle Helps will be a suc­cess­ful evening and I am very pleased that she is look­ing to ex­pand on the good work that she has al­ready done in the area by sup­port­ing other com­mu­nity or­gan­i­sa­tions.”

Mum-of-three and for­mer PE teacher Gillian said: “We are hav­ing a High­land con­fer­ence in the ho­tel on the week­end of Novem­ber 10, but the fundrais­ing ceilidh is on the Satur­day night.

“We’re charg­ing £7 per ticket and so we’re invit­ing lo­cal peo­ple to get in­volved and come and join us.

“The foun­da­tion is be­ing set up to pro­mote healthy liv­ing and ex­er­cise.” Satur­day’s ceilidh starts at 7.30pm.
