Firms support a glam night full of area’s Stars
Companies across Perth and Kinross are showing their support for the area’s most prestigious business awards.
In addition to Binn Group’s key sponsorship support, 14 other businesses are backing the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star Awards by sponsoring individual categories in the showcase event.
Unveiling this year’s category sponsors, Chamber chief executive Vicki Unite said the event could not enjoy the profile or prestige it does without the backing of each firm which has lend its name to its respective category.
She explained: “These sponsors each support a different category allowing us to promote particular key sectors and recognise and reward the best in the business within each.
“Their support and encouragement is crucial in creating one the most extensive and inclusive business awards in Scotland. We are extremely grateful to everyone who helps us in this way.
“Our sponsors are leaders in their different fields and it is very commendable that they recognise the need to promote and encourage others to work to achieve the best possible standards.
“A Business Star Award singles out the very best in our area and our category sponsors enable us to let them shine.”
Entries is now closed for this year’s PCC Business Star Awards, which culminates in a glittering awards dinner at Crieff Hydro on Friday, November 24.
Category winners will be crowned on a night which will see the region’s overall ‘Business of the Year’ revealed.
Glenfarg-based Binn Group’s commercial director Jim Brown said the company was “honoured and delighted” to be associated with what he considered to be one of the best events of its type in the country.
“The Star Awards is not just a great night out but one of the most robust and ultimately rewarding business competitions,” he said.
“I have been a judge myself for these awards and was genuinely taken aback by the calibre of shortlisted entrants and pleasantly surprised by how thorough the judging process is.
