Continued Heritage Associatio­n The associatio­n meets on the first Friday of each month at 7.30pm. As the bowling club has closed down the new venue for the group is St Anne’s church hall on Forfar Road. The associatio­n will next meet this Friday, November 10, when the speaker will be Allison Notman, the minister at Kettins church, who will talk on the history of her church. Everyone welcome. Thursday Friends The group’s Christmas party will be held in the Red House Hotel on Thursday, December 14, at 1pm for 1.30pm. Remembranc­e Services will be held at Bendochy church at 10am and the Abbey Church at 10.45am this Sunday, November 12. The retiring offerings will be taken for the Earl Haigh fund. This will be followed at noon by a parade, led by Coupar Angus Pipe Band from the Cross to the war memorial at Coupar Angus primary school, where a short service will be conducted by Rev Andy Gray. Coupar Angus and Bendochy community council and local councillor­s will lay wreaths. Organisers request as many people as possible to represent local groups and veterans at this service. Curling The New Age Curling group are holding a coffee morning and table sale this Saturday, November 11, in the town hall, admission £2.

Dunning

Bowling club The lotto numbers this week were 1, 9, 12 and 20. There were no winners; next week’s prize money will now be £2000. Remembranc­e A short act of Remembranc­e at Dunning war memorial at 10.45am this Sunday, November 12, will be followed by a service in Dunning church.

Errol

Church Coffee morning in the Ochil Room on Saturday, November 11, from 10am to 12 noon. Remembranc­e Service takes place in the church this Sunday, November 12 at 10.50am and will be conducted by Rev John MacGregor. This will be followed by a short war graves service will take place at Muriel Cemetery at 2pm. Revive Cafe will be held in the village hall on Wednesday, November 15 at 1pm to 2.30pm with choir practise at 7pm. Fashion show will take place in the church on Friday, November 17 at 7.30pm. Christmas lights will be switched on at Errol Cross on Sunday, December 3 at 6.30pm with mince pies and tea in Errol masonic lodge afterwards. All welcome.

Forteviot

Bowling club The lotto numbers drawn on Sunday were: 3, 4, 19 and 20. There was no winner and the rollover will now be £1000. The next draw will take place this Sunday, November 12, at 2pm in the clubhouse. The club’s annual general meeting will also take place on Sunday at the same time and venue. All members and committee members are requested to attend this meeting. Remembranc­e service will be held at 9.30am in Forteviot church and will be led by Rev James W Aitchison. All are requested to meet at Aberdalgie war memorial before the service. Fair The church will have a table at the Forteviot Christmas fair which will be held in the village hall on November 18, from 10am until 2pm. Aberdalgie church The congregati­on is requested to meet at the war memorial prior to the 9.30am service A sale of beads, baubles and handbags raised £436 for mental health charities. Guildtown

Church The Remembranc­e service in St Martins church on Sunday, November 12 at 9.30am, will incorporat­e the laying of wreaths at the war memorial. Following a short service in the church led by Rev Alan Livingston­e. All members, friends and visitors will be made welcome to join in this very important service.

Kettins

Coffee morning A coffee morning in aid of the Renal Unit at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee will be held in Kettins Parish church hall from 10am to 11.30am on Saturday, November 18. Church The Guild’s coffee morning is on Saturday, November 11 from 10am to 11.30am. On Remembranc­e Sunday, November 12, there will be an act of Remembranc­e at the close of worship. Services are held every Sunday at 9.45am and tea and coffee are served in the hall afterwards. All welcome.

Comedy night is being held this Friday, November 10 at 8pm in Milnathort town Hall; tickets £10, concession­s £8. Session House A Heart start discovery workshop will be held in Kirkmichae­l village hall on Tuesday, November 21, from 7pm to 9pm. The course will teach simple emergency life-saving skills (ELS).
