MIND THE TIME EVENING OF FOOTBALL CHAT AND VERSE

This event will take place at McDiarmid Park on Sunday, November 26 from 7–9pm in aid of The St Johnstone Community Trust and Football Memories Scotland, supported by Nutmeg Scottish Football Periodical. The evening will be hosted by Saints poet in residence Jim McIntosh and will include poetry readings and football reminiscing with a panel that so far consists of Atholl Henderson, Danny Griffin and the one and only Henry Hall. We are hoping to add one or two guests.

All three of Scotland’s football club poet’s in residence will attend: Stephen Watt of Dumbarton FC, Thomas Clark of Selkirk FC and Jim. We will also have Karyn Buckland, Graham Fulton and Andy Jackson - all published, veteran performance poets and all contributors to Mind the Time. Mind the Time is an anthology of poetry published to support the work of Football Memories Scotland. It was edited by Jim McIntosh and contains 100 football related poems by 50 contemporary poets using the core theme of the good old days, a theme which is entirely subjective and could be last year or 50 years ago. It also contains various articles about the Football Memories project. Admission to the event will cost £5 with proceeds going to the community trust and copies of Mind the Time will be available to purchase.
