Overnight roadworks to repair the M90

- Rachel Clark

Motorists in Perth and Kinross are to be faced with more roadworks this week on the M90.

The £95,000 resurfacing of the northbound off-slip at Muirmont, junction nine are to begin on Friday, November 24 for three nights from 7.30pm until 6.30am.

During the overnight roadworks, the slip road will be closed at junction nine, with all vehicles being diverted to the junction 11 off-slip.

AndyThompson, BEAR Scotland’s north-east representative, said:“These works will repair a number of cracks, potholes and other issues which will improve the general condition and safety of the road for motorists.

“We’ve planned these works to take place overnight to limit the impact on road users.

“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible, however, we encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time.”

The off-slip will be open as normal during the daytime, and any materials removed during the work will be recycled.

The works had been scheduled to start yesterday, however, they were postponed at the last minute due to adverse weather forecast for this week.

Real time journey information will be shared on BEAR Scotland’sTwitter feed.
