A piece of Saints history up for grabs
St Johnstone fans have a chance to snap up a piece of club history for Christmas.
The Dave Mackay Testimonial committee is selling a limited number of commemorative match shirts from the Dundee game, autographed by the cup winning skipper, for £75.
And bids are being taken for a framed photograph of the teams, featuring autographs of participating players and club legends.
This is one of just three, with the others being presented to Mackay and St Johnstone. Closing date for bids is December 8.
Two goalkeeper’s jerseys signed by Mackay, Zander Clark and“stand-in”Murray Davidson are also up for grabs featuring the Booker and Kilmac logos and Mackay 2.
A limited number of hipflasks bearing the clubs crests and testimonial details are also being sold for £25. They were presented to participants in the match.
Team sheets signed by Dave and featuring a“Team of Dave Mackays”are also selling quickly.
Testimonial chairman Scott Findlay said:“There has been a great deal of interest expressed by fans keen to get their hands on souvenirs from what was a very successful testimonial year for a legendary club captain.
“We’d like to thank everyone, fans and sponsors, for making it such a great year for Dave.”
