Singing and dancing for new PFT show star
Talented actor Aaron Ashley Parker has moved from dancing in the new film Mama Mia 2! on to final rehearsals for the soon-toopen production of ‘Singin in the Rain’ in Pitlochry.
PFT’s festive musical spectacular is promising to send rainclouds scattering with its ensemble, drawn from a stellar cast of performers who have come north from the West End stage, TV and film.
Aaron joins the cast fresh from filming ‘Mamma Mia 2! Here We Go Again’ at Shepperton Studios, London.
Aaron explained: “I started filming Mamma Mia 2 in August this year.
“I’m a featured dancer in the movie and we started on location in the Oxford countryside and Oxford University, filming with actress Lily James [Cinderella, Downton Abbey] and director Ol Parker [screenplays for The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel films].”
Aaron then joined the entire Mamma Mia 2 cast at the London studios in October, for the film’s end sequence, working with Meryl Streep, Dame Julie Walters, Christine Baranski, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Lily James Andy Garcia and Cher.
Aaron added: “Dancing with the one and only Cher was an incredible experience.
“I was overwhelmed with talented actors and dancers, and got to work with the wonderful choreographer Anthony Van Laast [Beauty And The Beast, Mamma Mia].”
Singin’ In The Rain opens on Friday, December 1 and runs until December 23.
