The pupils all enjoyed their roles Youngsters from Kirkmichael Primary School performed their Christmas show, Bethlehem The Musical, to an audience of proud parents and family members last week before the school holidays.
Head teacher at the school, Margaret Wynd, was pleased with the performance and all the hard work and effort that pupils put into it.
She said: “This has been an
Youngsters from Kirkmichael Primary School during their Christmas show extremely challenging year for our Christmas show as we now have 66 pupils, including our nursery, to include in the play as well as fit on the stage!
“This year we were also hampered by much illness in the lead-up to the show, and although the majority had recovered by the day of the performance of Bethlehem The Musical, unfortunately one pupil was just not well enough to make it.
“The children shone through at the end, however, and produced super performances.”
Audience members were delighted by the production, praising the “great singing and acting” and the “wonderful atmosphere”, while thanking all the staff and pupils for their hard work.
And one member of the audience commented: “That was absolutely outstanding. The hard work and dedication that has gone into this is astounding and we look forward to this every year.”
Ms Wynd thanked all of the pupils and staff for their efforts and parents and grandparents for coming along and supporting the performance.
