All sessions will start at 7.30pm in Kinross Parish Church on Station Road, Kinross with arts tutors from Horsecross. Enrolment fee costs £6 and £4 per session with concession­s £3. No music reading or singing experience is necessary. All are welcome to go along and sing and have fun. Kinross-shire Historical Society The society will next meet on Monday, January 15 in Kinross Parish Church on Station Road, Kinross, at 7.30pm. The speaker on the night will be David Munro from Kinross and District Town Twinning Associatio­n – “Town Twinning, Its Birth, Early Years and Maturity”. Rekindling of “The Auld Alliance” including culture, heritage and school exchanges. Membership costs: adults £6; over 60s £5; under 18s free; visitors £2 per talk.

Football The Vale of Atholl FC match was sponsored by R W Bell Building Services. The club’s annual ‘Old vs New’ game last weekend had to be cancelled due to the poor pitch conditions. Tomorrow (Saturday) Vale will entertain Ballinluig at the Recreation Park in a league game with a 2pm start. Blair Atholl Museum A ceilidh will be held in Blair Atholl village hall on Friday, January 12 starting at 7.30pm. Traditiona­l Scottish entertainm­ent for the evening will be provided by the Foundry Boys band, and Gillie McNab and Ross McNaughton.
