Sign up to become a football fan in training

-

We still have places on our FIT FANS course starting next week. Come along and we will have you back in shape in no time. With funding support from the Scottish Government and the SPFL Trust, Football Fans in Training provides 13-weeks of light exercise and useful advice on how to get fitter, lead a more active life and improve your general health.

The course is aimed at women aged 35 to 65 with a BMI of 27+ (calculate this by visiting www.bmi-result.com) and will start at McDiarmid Park on January 11, 2018. The session will take place in the Muirton Suite and gym on a Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm.

FIT FANS is free and everyone receives a special Saints FFIT t-shirt. Get in touch to book a place by sending an email to admin@saintsinthecommunity.co.uk or call Danny Griffin on 01738 459095 for more information.

ANDY’S MAN CLUB

The club meets again for the first time in 2018 in the Muirton Suite at McDiarmid on Monday, January 8 at 7pm.

Saints in the Community became the first football club in Scotland to host Andy’s Man Club in September last year.

Founded by former Rugby League International Luke Ambler, following the suicide of his brother-in-law Andrew Roberts in 2016, the club is for“any man who is going through a storm, been through a storm or just wants to come along and meet a good group of people with the aim of improving one another.”

January can be a tough month, so if you, or someone you know would benefit from a get together with others who are probably feeling the same - and there will be - then the club is here for you.

SAINTS KIDZ

Saints Kidz Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays have now finished for the winter break. Look out for details of when the programme begins again in February 2018.

SAINTS TEASER

Last week: When we beat Dundee 2–0 back in March last year, it was Paul Paton who scored his first and, so far, only goal for Saints.

This week: The winter break means that we have no game until January 20, so the teaser will continue with a winter theme.

Who were we playing on November 21, 1992 when the first game to be abandoned at McDiarmid Park was called off at half time due to snow?
