Rannoch Moor is set to feature in a BBC documentary this weekend.

The programme Grand Tours of Scotland’s Lochs by presenter Paul Murton looks to discover the secrets of some of the country’s most iconic features.

Episode three in the six-part series, entitled‘Taming the Wild’, will be focused on Rannoch Moor, and will see the presenter swimming in the lochs and train-spotting along one of Scotland’s most isolated train tracks.

Saturday’s episode will also include interviews with some of Scotland’s ‘Tunnel Tigers’, who built the country’s hydroelectric system in the 1950s.

The 30-minute episode is on at 8.30pm on BBC Two on January 13.
