Prize time for Willowgate

-

The Willowgate Café on the banks of the River Tay on the outskirts of Perth is delighted to have been awarded the VisitScotland’s Taste Our Best accreditation.

The award recognises businesses that provide and promote quality Scottish food and drink.

The cafe menu and provenance statement highlights all the Scottish produce that the team endeavours to use as part of its cafe experience, such as all their meat being supplied by Perth’s fourth generation butchers D G Lindsay and Son and all jams and honey being produced in house, with ingredients and seasonal vegetables sourced from the fields of Perthshire wherever possible.

Manager Rhona Middleton said:“The feedback from our customers has been fantastic since we re-opened in September 2017 following an extension to the cafe. In addition to our popular standard menu we have a daily specials board where we try new and exciting dishes developed with the help from our customers.

“Open all year round and set in a beautiful location on the banks of the Tay, Willowgate Café is only one mile from Perth city centre making it very accessible to people on foot, bike, car or boat - whichever way you arrive you will always find a warm welcome!”
