Robyn was Radio Ga Ga during a live date She sings her heart out to win Valentine dinner

A Perth woman became a star last week when her Valentine’s Day date was broadcast live on the radio.

Robyn Allan answered the call when Heart Radio asked for two willing singletons to go for dinner during their drive time show.

The 32-year-old sat down with Mark Campbell from Falkirk to enjoy a meal courtesy of Hutcheson’s in Glasgow at Heart’s studios before heading to the restaurant for cocktails.

But it was not that simple for Robyn, who was asked by presenters Paul Harper and Lynn Hoggan to perform a couple of bizarre tasks during the dinner.

“I wasn’t told that until I got to the studio,” Robyn says.

“They all decided amongst themselves what the best tasks were. I had no say in it.

“One was to take a selfie that I was going to send to my ex-boyfriend, but Mark wasn’t even bothered.

“I also had to sing a love song. I am a terrible singer, the worst in the world!

“At first, I thought it would be so easy but the chat was really flowing so I really started to panic a little bit.”

Robyn and Mark’s date went down a storm with listeners and many took to social media to praise the pair.

And Robyn reckons it was a decent date, despite the odd circumstances.

“The meal was really good and Hutcheson’s was a beautiful place.

“It was actually a lot of fun and there was never any awkward

Former Perth Academy student Robyn works for Cherrybank Dental Spa but also does some parttime modelling, and she reckons that gave her a good grounding for making chat on the night.

But she believes it is far too early to say whether she found love on the date. “I don’t know, I’m quite a bit older than him - 10 years older.

“But I think we’ll see each other again away from everything.”
