Church The service on Sunday will be held in St Martins church at 9.30am led by Rev Alan Livingston­e. All members, friends and visitors will be made welcome. It will be led by Mr Ian Scott to which all members, friends and visitors will be made welcome. Tea and coffee will be served at the close of this service. Blooming Guildtown A coffee morning is being held in Guildtown village hall on Saturday, March 17 from 10am to noon. Attraction­s will include a plant stall, miscellane­ous sales table and a raffle, and items would be greatly appreciate­d. Admission is £3 and includes refreshmen­ts. Friendship Club Entertainm­ent at their meeting on Wednesday, March 21 is being provided by The Mad Ferret Band. Invitation­s are extended to anyone in the village or surroundin­g area to come along and join in. Admission is £1 and there will also be a raffle.

Session House Basics Scotland Paramedic Responder Kirsty Hosie, who lives locally and is a paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service, will provide a talk on Basics Scotland, the training involved and how responders are activated in the event of an emergency. Informatio­n will also be given on the two charities which provide the training and medical equipment required, Basics Scotland and The Sandpiper Trust. It will take place from 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 21. Entry is a £3 donation at the door. Tea, coffee and biscuits available.

Kinross-shire Decides Due to the postponeme­nt of the Better Place to Live fair on Saturday, the voting will now take place at Loch Leven Community Campus, from 10am to noon with the successful applicants hearing the result at 12.30pm. All are encouraged to support the community groups who have applied for this funding and get involved in voting for their preferred projects. Milnathort Filmhouse The film “I, Daniel Blake” is being shown on Saturday, (doors open at 7.30pm), over 18s only, bring your own bottle. A tuck shop with movie snacks and soft drinks will be provided. Entry is £6 for adults; £4 for concession­s. “Sing”, a fun musical film for all the family will be shown on Saturday, March 17 at 3pm (doors open at 2.30pm). Tickets are £4 for children; £6 for adults and concession­s £4. Family tickets are priced £16 (two adults and two children or one adult and three children). There will also be a tuck shop available. Aberfeldy Community Council (ACC) is hoping to win support for its road safety initiative, an electronic light-up speed sensor to curb speeding through the town.
