Coffee shop’s 2018 opener

The charity coffee shop in Quarrymill Woodland Park is opening for the 2018 season on Monday, March 19 at 10am.

The Macmillan Coffee Shop has opened every year for the summer months since 1991 and over this time has raised more than £950,000 for the Cornhill Macmillan Support Group to help cancer patients in the Perth and Kinross area and the team are hoping to hit the £1m mark this year.

The committee are looking forward to welcoming customers throughout the summer, Mondays to Saturdays 10am until 4.30pm, from March 19 until October 20.

The premises also house the Macmillan Gift Shop where customers can purchase greeting cards, preserves and a selection of gifts including jewellery, scarves and handbags.

Current chair of the Macmillan Coffee Shop Association, Ruth Mackay said:“We are very grateful to our loyal volunteers and customers who have helped us raise over £61,000 last season and over £950,000 since we opened.”
