Crieff kids’ festival needs more help

-

Volunteers for Kids Week in Crieff (KWIC) festival are invited to an open night tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8pm in Crieff Town Hall.

Organisers hope the meeting will pull in more helpers for the fun event in July.

“There is a lot that needs to be done to organise such a major event,”said KWIC chair Angela Baker,“and the more bodies we have to help, the more we can make it run smoothly.

“We hope people will come along and find out what’s happening with our plans for Kids Week in Crieff 2018.

“The meeting is for families and individuals, young and old, teams of friends and workmates but essentially people who are good fun and would like to come on board to help us make this year’s KWIC even bigger and better.

“We are not asking people to come and join the committee. Even if they just have an hour to spare anything is immensely appreciated.

“It takes a lot to put on this event so the more the merrier.

“KWIC has become an event for Crieff. It’s our community event.”

Angela revealed that Gala Day will be on Sunday, July 15.

She added:“We invite schools nurseries, playgroups, kids clubs and organisations, coaches, leaders, volunteers and family members to join us for the parade to help us celebrate the event together.”
