Witnesses wanted to Perthshire crimes

Tayside Police are appealing for informatio­n on the following crimes in the Perthshire area:

On Wednesday, March 21, between 2-3.30pm, two wheelchair batteries were stolen from an unattended wheelchair in the car park at Matalan, Victoria Street, Perth. (CR/6665/18)

On Thursday, March 22, two men attempted to pass a counterfei­t Bank of Ireland £50 note – serial number Z002441.

Retailers are warned to be cautious when large denominati­on notes are being tendered, particular­ly for low value purchases.(CR/7085/18)

Between March 24 and 25, several garden ornaments including a railway clock were stolen from a house at Inchcoonan­s. (CR/7052/18)

Between Saturday, March 3, and Friday, March 23, £300 worth of heating oil was stolen from a property at Brandywell Road, Abernethy. (CR/6952/18). A further theft of heating oil was reported at Main Street, Abernethy (CR/7173/18) which has occurred between Monday, March 19, and Sunday, March 25.

A Silver Nissan motor car was parked in Argyll Road, Kinross, between 9am on Saturday, March 10, and Sunday, March 25, and during this time has had all four tyres damaged. (CR/7168/18)

On Monday, March 26, between 1-3pm an insecure motor car parked on High Street, Alyth, was broken into and a quantity of tools stolen from the vehicle. (CR/7185/18)
