Easter trails and tea this weekend at Blair Castle

Blair Castle re-opens its doors to the public, today, Friday, March 30, and the popular Perthshire visitor attraction has a cracking variety of activities for all the family to enjoy over the Easter weekend.

There’s an exciting Easter trail taking place at the castle during the long bank holiday weekend , Friday, March 30 - Monday, April 2.

The trail - involving 200 hidden eggs to find - is free of charge with castle entry.

On Easter Sunday join in the family fun by decorating an egg in the Banvie Hall, before rolling begins at 11am. With three age categories, there are lots of chocolate prizes to be won.

The main event tomorrow, Saturday 31, is the Super Egg Hunt from 2-3pm. It’s a fun competitio­n for children to make boats and wings for hard boiled eggs, trying their hand at making them magically fly and float. This event meets at the Blair Atholl Informatio­n Centre, families can join in for only £3 per child.

There’s afternoon tea in the ballroom on Easter Sunday, April 1 with a specially designed menu featuring a selection of freshly baked treats, mini sandwiches, and homemade scones with jam and cream.

Costing £20 per adult and £11 per child, entrance to Blair Castle is also included in the price.
