A major tourist attraction in Highland Perthshire has won an accolade for high standards.

Blair Castle has won the CIE Tours International award of excellence for the number of customers who had a positive experience.

The gong is only given to attractions which receive over 90 per cent customer satisfaction, and this is the second year in a row the castle in Blair Atholl has won the accolade.

It has also been nominated for tourist attraction of the year and best caravan park at this year’s Scottish Hospitality Awards.

Julia Sim, head of sales and marketing at the castle, said:“At Blair Castle we always put our visitors first, doing everything we can to ensure they have the most enjoyable and rewarding visit, which is why we are so delighted to have won and been shortlisted for awards voted for by the public.

“Winning and even being shortlisted for prestigious industry awards such as these demonstrates our commitment to being one of Scotland’s leading tourist attractions.

“We are constantly working to provide new experiences for our guests to enjoy, with our‘Victoria at Blair Castle’exhibition opening its doors earlier this year and look forward to welcoming each and every one of our visitors throughout the rest of the season.”
