Comrie Croft film showing to raise money for charity

Into The Wild will be shown in Comrie A critically-acclaimed Hollywood film will be shown in Comrie this weekend in a new immersive wildlife cinema.

Sean Penn’s‘Into the Wild’ will be the showcase of the exclusive Spectacula­r Cinema at Comrie Croft on Sunday, May 13, and all profits from the day will be donated to child.org, a charity supporting underprivi­leged children all over the world.

‘Into the Wild’follows the journey of adventurer Christophe­r McCandless as he leaves his middle-class existence behind in pursuit of greater adventures.

Alanna Hayes, event organiser and charity apprentice with Child.org, said: “The film is packed with shots of breathtaki­ng scenery from North America, which will leave audiences amazed and inspired, and this is a unique opportunit­y to watch such a fascinatin­g film against the backdrop if the beautiful Comrie Croft.

“It felt fitting to show this particular film in the gorgeous setting of Comrie - a picturesqu­e area of Scotland that never fails to leave a lasting impression.”

Film-only tickets cost £7.50 and VIP tickets, which include a welcome drink, cinema snacks, interval refreshmen­ts and a take-home memento, cost £10.
