Hawaii theme forpet party

Dog lovers and their pet pooches will be able to spend a day socialisin­g and celebratin­g with a Hawaiian theme.

Perth’s Doggy Day Care centre in North Muirton is hosting a Hawaiian hounds luau party on Sunday, June 24 from noon until 4pm.

There will be a bar for both humans and pets and a dog market full of treats and toys.

There will also be a competitio­n for those best dressed in island fashions at the Arran Road centre.

Manager James Todd said:“The event seeks to bring together dog lovers and their pets in an afternoon of fun and games where they can make friends and share tails while sipping on their favourite drinks.

“Dog owners can enjoy a variety of drinks while their furry friends will have access to the finest eau de vie on tap.

“There will also be lots of delights for dogs, from tasty treats and toys to the latest fluffy fashions and homeware.

“Competitio­ns and games with run throughout the afternoon and prizes will be given out to the best Hawaiian outfits such as most elegantly worn grass skirts or snazziest shirt.

“Dogs and owners are expected to attend the hairiest luau this side of Hawaii in their best island fashion.”

Tickets cost £10, including a free drink at the bar, and can be bought online via Eventbrite.
