Whale warns of pollution problem
Breadalbane Academy students proved they take marine pollution seriously when their striking recycled artwork was selected for an exhibition.
Blair Drummond Safari Park and environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful ran a competition to find images to display as part of an exhibition on marine litter for World Oceans weekend, just past on June 9 and 10.
Schools from across Scotland were invited to take part in the competition, which encouraged pupils to think creatively about how 80 per cent of litter in the oceans comes from land - designing an exhibit and presenting a report on their research findings.
Breadalbane Academy created it’s eyecatching entry from the litter pupils found on their spring clean litter pick.

The bottle and rubbish picture created by Breadalbane Academy schools to have work selected to share the environmental message with visitors to the safari park. As runners up, the class won free entry to the safari park, to see their masterpiece in place.
Liz Gunn, marketing manager Blair Drummond Safari Park, commented:“We were so impressed with the quality of entries to the Marine Litter Art Competition. A lot of very positive action has come from this competition.”
