Dislocated partner’s finger
An irate Perthshire woman dislocated her boyfriend’s finger during a drink-fuelled row after she discovered he had cheated on her.
Upset Heather Mann also scratched Radoslaw Szczepaniak during the bust-up at her house in Murray Place, Stanley, in the early hours.
Her violent behaviour led to her being given a Community Payback Order as a direct alternative to a prison sentence at Perth Sheriff Court this week.
She will have to complete 150 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and will also be monitored by a social worker for the same length of time.
She admitted assaulting him in her home on April 15 this year by struggling with him, pulling his finger and scratching him, all to his injury.
Depute fiscal Alan Morrison said they had been in a relationship for over a year.
Both had been drinking“into the early hours”when an argument broke out about 3.30am after it emerged he had been unfaithful to her.
“He tried to calm her down and placed his hand on her in an attempt to do this,”explained the fiscal.
“At this point the accused took hold of the pinkie finger on his left hand and pulled it so hard it dislocated.” She also scratched his chest, leaving red marks. Mr Szczepaniak telephoned the police and when they arrived it was“clear”his finger was dislocated and an ambulance was called.
Solicitor John McLaughlin said she had reacted to the“unfortunate piece of information.”
Both had taken a“significant amount of alcohol”but she hadn’t drunk to any extent since.
