Suicide prevention in the Spotlight
Kyle and Blair, of Future Firsthand, release single ‘Spotlight’ today on Bandcamp Future Firsthand will be releasing their brand-new single entitled‘Spotlight’on Friday, July 13.
The single’s aim is to raise awareness and money for Andy’s Man Club, a peer to peer support group for men and a suicide prevention charity.
The track will be released on to Bandcamp a week early on July 6 in order to allow ‘pay what you like‘donations for the track along with Andy’s Man Club merchandise.
Future Firsthand are an indie pop duo from Perth inspired by the likes of Oh Wonder, Twenty One Pilots and Prides.
‘Spotlight’was written soon after the tragic loss of Scott Hutchison from Frightened Rabbit.
An Andy’s Man Club spokesperson said: “The song talks about the fragility of life; how things may go wrong and something as important as love may be hard to find however emphasises that it’s so important to talk.
“It’s vital to try to understand that you’re not alone.”
Meetings are held every Monday at 7pm at McDiarmid Park and there are other club meetings all across the country.
